I put on over 8,000 miles in 2011 on my 47 knuck "Elvis" including riding from Minneapolis to california with no trailers or chase trucks! I hope 2012 brings as many new adventures, road trips and great memories.

2011 also was the start of my wife upgrading from a 58 XLCH to a 39 Knuck. She did great and rode it over 1,000 miles

Well never thought I'd say this but I am going to be selling a few bikes to work towards getting out of my small house and into something with a bit of land to have a shop. Here for sale is my favorite panhead the princess. This is a first year DUO-GLIDE panhead. This bike runs great has a strong motor clean clear numbers and title. It has some leaks like all pans do but overall is a great bike. I can get on this bike and go anywhere with no worries.

Davenport brought lots of rain but despite the shitty weather I brought home this 1939 frame for Amys 39 motor..now I can yank it from the 48 wishbone frame "Shorty" chopper it was in and put the 40 ULH in there and start the journey of finding more 39 parts for this bike.

I remember being in the hospital early that morning with a false alarm of my first sons birth...after getting back home around 6 am, I then went to school to teach and an all school announcement came on to turn on the news to see what had happened. My students and I watched in terror as the attacks unfolded....RIP

Started the new school year on Tuesday 9-5-2011
yesterday on 9-8 we had Knucklehead 101 lesson. I rode in Elvis and we did a breakdown of the 1936-1947 knuck era and I discussed what makes the 47 unique to the other years. Then I taught them how to properly kick start an old bike.
Pictured is also the new class even have 4 girls this year which is cool, haven't had many in the past!

Sturgis 2011 trip part 2

Once at Carls Cycle Supply much fun was had as always and I got to finally get some pics of Matt and I on the two chrome tanked knuckleheads, Matt is one of my best friends and the coolest guy ever!
I also got to see many amazing knucklehead projects they had going on, there shop is soooo cool if you ever get a chnace you have to stop by there and say Hi.

STURGIS trip 2011 part 1

Sturgis 2011 was as eventful and adventurous as every year. This year I fattened up my 47 knuck elvis for the ride out stock rear fender full bags, and a buddy seat so my wife Amy could finally ride in comfort on the long black roads we would be traveling this year. I also wanted to bring her knuck and strange brew to ride to some shows out there so Amy pulled our trailer. As we were getting ready to head out of town I am riding behind her and the truck on Elvis when I see a tire go flying off our rig and bounce a mile down the road in the opposite lane..luckily Amy was able to maintain control and get the rig to the side of the road. The front left wheel of my truck came off! After getting saved from my friends Jasons dads truck to step in for the rmained of the trip we moved along to Carls Cycle Supply in Aberdeen SD. Stogie sat on Elvis for a pic in there shop after we installed a stock style muffler on Elvis to complete the new look.
