My pa and I in his 1964 police Special Panhead

The first picture is the day my Dad brought the bike home from the farmer he bought it from, I was with him at the time around 4 years old with my mutt dog "tiny". He paid $500.00 bucks had to dig the pan out of one barn and the sidecar out of another had years of junk chicken shit and other crap over them. The other pic is us again 33 years later same bike

Nicks sweet pan for sale

I've seen this bike at his house its awsome and he.s selling it for a smoking good deal!

It was basically built from a stock '61 FL - matching cases, proper
trans, original swingarm frame
with a pan hardtail welded on, stock '61 rear brake, stock '61 dual
point ignition, '61 primary, oil tank, stock controls chromed, etc. The chopper
parts on it are all mid 70s aftermarket - bars, steel trees, spool,
seat, Branch/Mikuni carb conversion. I replaced all the soft parts,
brakes, some gaskets, and changed up the seat, otherwise it's as built
35 years ago. Featured in Dice issue #26. It's a good
runner and has been ridden from Phx out to Las Vegas, CA and, Mexico. No
breakdowns to speak of. It sat in a garage from '82 to '08 with a
chipped gear in the ratchet top which locked it in 4th gear.

Let me know if you need anything else - you can have anyone email or
call me (480) 620-3749. I'd like to get $13.5K for it.

Tornado and Sturgis trip 2008

2008 we were bringing in two bikes to Sturgis for the Michael Lichter "Stay Gold" exhibit. less than an hour into our trip we drove into a tornado..100 mile hour plus straight line winds flipped us over before we even knew what hit us. Luckily no one was hurt, the bikes suffered minor damage. Mario Sanchez was on his bagger in front of us and was picked up by the wind but luckily went into the deep ditch between the north and south freeway lanes where he was able to hunker down and hide from the turmoil going on up above! After a few phone calls and a 7 hour delay we had the bikes in a new rig and made it to Sturgis around 2 am, unloaded the bikes to the waiting help and were all good for the shows opening that morning!
